Celine, Proenza Schouler, Victoria Beckham all went a bit sporty on their recent runways. But this was no trip to the gym, no run on a treadmill. We’re talking high style, feminine and cute, with a sophisticated nod towards athletic detail and comfort chic. “Victoria Beckham proved, with her collection, that sporty can be very girly. Her body conscious dresses were comprised of sporty elements like polo collars and stripes,” says Miriam Sternoff, who, partnered with Micaela Beckwith, has styled for publications like Nylon, Teen Vogue and Vanity Fair.

Our two fashion experts point to stars like Kate Bosworth, Olivia Palermo and Diane Kruger who “always nail the sporty chic look. All three are extremely feminine but they add a sporty twist to girly ensembles with ease.”

But how can a woman grab some style from athletes without looking like she’s heading out for a morning jog? “Keep a nice juxtaposition when attempting this,” says Sternoff. “Try a cute baseball cap with a floral dress or throw on a blazer in a casual jersey fabric with your cute sweats. Pick items that are deliberately sporty and pair them with your more anonymous items like basic jeans and a feminine pair of flats.”

And for the office, Sternoff recommends, “a cute pair of heels with rubber treading on the bottom or a pencil skirt with mesh inserts, adds a sporty touch. Sporty chic is so on-trend right now that finding date or work appropriate attire is very easy.”

One of our favorite trends in Men's Wear currently are slacks with no break.

Break: A break is where your pants fall on your shoes, creating a horizontal crease in the fabric across the front of your pant leg. 

 While breaks are an important detail.....we love guys with out them.
It often presents cleaner detail, sleeker more tailored look.
It screams I've got it together.

They are only 49.95 and they still have sizes online...now which ones to get is the question...maybe i'll get one and Mir can get the other and we can have the best of both worlds...yep! We wear the same size..and live next door to each other...heeeey..party on our feet! x

One thing consistent here at Mac and Mir is our love for menswear. 

We have a beautiful way of sewing a touch of it into almost  all of our outfits.

We are currently loving oxfords and loafers.

They are tre chic paired with cropped trousers and sheer blouses.

You can even wear them with  denim , a  borrowed tee from your beau, tons of jewels and a great blazer.

One of our favorite hue trends this season is Neon Yellow. It is the perfect pop of color for just about anything.  A little to the lip, a little to the hip and even a little to the finger tips...(wait was that corny or what?)

None the less, it is a color to make just enough of a statement!
